We don’t see these creatures very often here in the Netherlands, though they are supposed to be rather common. But during my recent holiday in France I found a place that was awash with them.

The female has a more subdued colour, but is still rather pretty:

Haha , een weidebeekjuffer , ik heb vorig jaar een 20tal kunnen waarnemen in Schinveld , roodebeekdal . Groen en blauw metallic . Maar ook jij maakt mooie opnames , compliment !
